orange, and a glass of milk. (wasnt that hungry) For lunch I had organic peanut-butter covered pretzils and an organic energy drink. (Guru lite.) Lots of filtered water and organic teas inbetween meals. Supper was homemade toco salad (mostly vegetarian), and organic lettuce and salsa. Later I am making some w/w muffins with crystalized ginger, almonds, and dried apricots; so I'll probably have some of the batter :). (If the muffins turn out I will post the recipe on my other blog miss-muffin-maniac. You can get there by going to my "pictures and links" page and clicking on the link.)

http://www.madebysurvivors.com/ is a world-wide organization that rescues women, children, and even boys from illegal slavery and sex trafficking, then teaches them a trade to support themselves and their families. These places are mostly found in India, Africa, some middle-eastern countries, and even remote countries and states. Fighting for these respectable ladies rights and giving them a bright, free and happy futures. I'm not trying to sell you anything, but I will tell you that these women, these amazing survivors, are very talented and make some beautiful and useful things. Here are a few products you can view along with others, (and purchase if you want to,) along with more info.

Tomorrow I take a walk around my neighborhood to pick wayward trash and litter, feel free to join me though we may not be in the same town, state, or even country. I will let you know how far I walked and how much trash is just laying around that I was able to pick up. I took a walk yesterday but didn't bring a bag and you wouldn't believe how much garbage is laying around!
Sorry the cartoon is not big enough, click on it and you will see it in its largest form that apparently wasn't available to me :P. Just to let you know so that you don't get me wrong, I do believe in taking care of our earth and preserving trees and all that, but I do not believe that global warming is in process not will it begin to do so in our, or our children's, lifetimes.
If you ask me, (which I also realize that you didn't ask me, but I will still tell you if you'll so kindly read on, :D,) pollution has enough problems of its own- e.i. sickness; wastefulness; etc.- that we don't need to make up a scary story to make the nations give money to the government to do with as they see fit. (Yes, for many a good cause I'm sure, but some are not, and it's not what that money was intended for!) I'm not trying to pick on anybody, and I am sure you would want someone to explain it better for you than me, I'm just stating my beliefs. (And its not exactly a hate crime. LOL.)
Well, I took a small walk, but it was rainy-- probably 1/4 mile-- so not long at all. I piched up 26 non-biodegradable items to throw away. Items such as plastic bags; pop cans; burger wrapers; candy bar wrappers; ect. Plus a fresh orange peel, countless gum and sucker wrappers, and one lonely toilet seat half buried in snow ( didnt pick that up;).
I walked through a very nice-but a long shot from ritzy- neighborhood, and thats what I found.
Did anybody join me?

I was just at st. Vincents De Paul and picked out a bed skirt for $2.50, its blue and white and has a silvery/grey stripe inbetween them. My new room is turning into my heaven! I'm gonna post a few pictures and explain more about how I did it, and am continuing to do it at a very, very low cost later. View more pictures at my "PICTURES AND LINKS" page!

CEF, (Child Evangelism Fellowship,) you can probably tell we like abbreviations. I have actually had a month of training over the last two years at a study camp near Wisconsin Rapids, teaching me how to clearly present the gospel. If you would like to see more about this ministry, I have included a link, or at least I think I've got it right and posted that too, in order for you to go to their web site. http://www.cefonline.com/
