Zesty fruit/veggie smoothie

Category: beverage Makes: approx. 18 fl. oz. Allergens: Milk (may be easily substituted), flax, berries/fruits More Info: gluten free, lactose-free vegan, vegetarian, antioxidant-rich, fiber, great dose of fruits and some veggies,


1/2 cup milk (cow, goat, coconut, almond, etc.)
1/2 of a fruit (I've used mango, pear, and peach), cut
1/4 cup frozen berries (I've used strawberries)
1 small/medium carrot, chopped
2 Tbsp elderberry juice (I used Biotta brand)
1 Tbsp organic flax seed oil
2 tsp lemon juice
dash of stevia (you may used honey, royal jelly, or xylitol, etc.)
Tiny bit each of:
pealed ginger root
fresh lemon peal

Optionals:
chopped beats
ginger juice
coconut cream
fresh cilantro
washed spinach
broccoli

Combine all ingredients in a sturdy blender. (I recommend a VitaMix) Make sure there are no huge chunks of fruits or carrot. Blend until smooth. Serve chilled. Enjoy!
