  • Straight-leg jeans ($3.50 Local thrift shop)
  • Blue sandals (hand-me-down)

Casual Sunday Style - kacki skirt

What I'm wearing-

  • Simple green long-sleeve top, tucked in (borrowed from sister)
  • Tan kacki "maxi" skirt (also my sister's)
  • "Earthy" multi-colored sandals ($3 local thrift shop)
  • knit striped scarf ($1 thrift shop)
  • Metallic feather earrings ($5 Kohl's)

Oops! It doesn't seem to want to rotate the right way!

 Tips from Michaela Danielle's Closet:

One thing I really like about this outfit -- what made it so comfortable and casual and easy to wear and look at -- are the soft colors. But I couldn't make a whole outfit out of light, dreamy colors. The shirt was on the loose side, so I didn't want to look like I was in my PJ's or camping out. So here's what I did:
The shoes, scarf, and earrings add something bolder to the otherwise drab -- though cute -- outfit. Can you tell the difference between the "cool" shades of the skirt and top versus the "warm" shades provided by the accessories?
You may think that this is all rather much to do in one morning, but I've made a point to have versatile outfit separates -- neutral and easy to pair -- along with more fun and festive pieces. It doesn't take much time at all to put together an outfit, especially on Sunday morning, when it is fun as well as easy. Making sure that your clothing and accessories are neat, organized, and accessible are essential, or at least help!
So when you pair these techniques together with minimal makeup that brings out your eyes and natural color, a simple hair-do, and get your attitude in the right place, you can conquer the world.

Geeky shirts I'd wear!

Yes, Bacteria is essential for life! Your gut is teeming with it!

I'm hoping to participate in a 5k run this summer to support diabetes
health. There's so much mis-information, and most people will tell them
that eating fat (especial saturated) is bad for you. Yeah right! I would
so wear this to run in, and watch people stare, saying "how did she get
so healthy and fit by eating fat?!"

A choice and a testimony [short video]

Look, you know I can't stay away from controversial and uncomfortable subjects. YOU NEED TO WATCH THIS! The "gay" lifestyle is a choice, not something you are born with.
He's "been in the game for 27 years" and chalks up his choices to "immaturity" and "not knowing the law (biblical principles) like I (he) should have." Everyone is born with sinful desires, and that does not justify sinful behavior. I am not hating anyone. Jesus had compassion on the most wicked of offenders, but he also told them to "go and sin no more." I'm just as flawed as anyone else, no matter what my "sexuality." JESUS SAVES!!!! He really does! You just have to want to be saved.

"Generations" sketch

This is just a photograph of the sketch, and I'm detecting flaws right now, but I rather like this one, if I do say so myself. :)

Rainy Wardrobe Improvisation

Yes folks, this is the crazy get-up I'm wearing to the group camp-out our church puts on. It'll be rainy and cold, so my wonderful mother went to the store and got whatever she could. A size Medium/Large "wet suit," aka matching pants and jacket. (I tucked the top in and tied the drawstring bow for the fashionable flair ;)    So tell me, have you ever had to wear something out of your comfort (or style) zone for practicality's sake? Be brave and tell me about it... and no, you don't have to post a picture like I did.
